What was it about?

Last week we joined in a last-minute Pop Up Museum collaboration with the Farmer’s Market!  Markets have always been considered a potluck of sharing.  Whether this means diverse foods or diverse people, we were excited to join in the mix.  This Pop Up Museum invited all to share life recipes, from favorite foods to ways of being in the world.

How did it go?

This Pop Up Museum was a spur of the moment event, and we were so happy to work with the Farmer's Market.  We joined in on a fun-filled event called 'Some Like it Hot!' for the FoodShed Project featuring tastings, talks, cooking, trivia and demonstrations.  What more appropriate, then, to share Life Recipes?  We had some of the highest numbers of exhibitors, and by the end, our table became not only a sharing space, but a place for exchange.  We collected recipes for Beer Bread, Happy Babies, the Perfect Morning, the Best Recess, and Laughter.  When a whole family can sit down and write their own recipes, we capture a glimpse into inter-generational appreciation for our daily lives.  Better yet, when that same family can take away several life recipes they saw on our table to take home and enjoy, we know our community is happily in dialogue with one another.   This Pop Up Museum ended in hugs and smiles all around.  Here's a Life Recipe to leave you with:
